The couple behind Banking and Buckets

Keva and Brian Latham

Keva and Brian Latham are the force behind Banking and Buckets. It’s their dual passions for their hometown, Memphis, and basketball that led them to create Banking and Buckets, the program they believe will build greater “net” worth for kids in Memphis.

Keva and Brian are graduates of Memphis-Shelby County Schools (East High School). They met in 8th grade and developed a friendship along with their basketball skills, which earned them both basketball honors at the city, regional, and state levels.

After graduating from East High School, Keva and Brian where awarded NCAA Division 1 basketball scholarships – Keva at University of Tennessee at Martin, and Brian at Midland College and later at University of Houston, where he ranked second in Conference USA and 18th nationally in steals.

Keva and Brian both hold bachelor’s degrees in Economics and received Conference USA and Ohio Valley Conference all-academic team honors.

Keva went on to earn her MBA from Christian Brothers University, and Brian played eight years of professional basketball in China, Mexico, Venezuela, Uruguay and Brazil. The two reunited when Brian returned to Memphis, they later married and have a son.

Today, Keva is a Senior Vice President at First Horizon Bank and is the current Board Chair of MAM. Brian is a manager at Lifetime Fitness. They’re excited about what Banking and Buckets can mean for the future of Memphis.
